Like all the best ideas, My Flight Path was founded through a combination of experience and frustrating at not being able to solve a problem. 

Jono, our Founder, spent many years working in the aviation industry and is also a property investor. 

He was frustrated that having viewed a house in February that when he moved in several months later, the aircraft activity above it was significantly greater than he expected. This came as particular surprise because the house was over 30 miles from any airport.

During the purchase process, he was offered many surveys and searches, including those which were clearly not required or appropriate, but thought it was odd that aviation activity was not one of them. Move into a home which has significant volumes of low flying aircraft overhead and it can have a serious impact on people's mental and physical wellbeing.

Whilst there are many apps available showing live aircraft tracking, accessing historical data which builds a true picture of the seasonality of the travel industry is near on impossible for the public to get hold of.

Fast forward a few years, and My Flight Path has successfully harnessed the big data of aircraft travel and provides a simple and comprehensive overview of what's overhead of around 190 million residential properties around the world.
